How many times do we make a meal and have left overs? Well if you are anything like me when you put it all away and then the next day look at this big container things look a little gross, or just to much work. So I decided to start putting thing in serving size.
For example: Mike comes home for lunch and instead of him dinkin around trying to make something or create a sandwich he can just grab the cont. throw it in the microwave and of the goes. And with Chicken and steaks and stuff we have to buy some many bags because you get 5 to a bag, most the time they get frost on them from being exposed to air all the time from us just getting two pieces, plus it takes up alot of extra room in my little freezer that I indiv. Zip locked them. Ohh the room I created. I even put the mth and year on them so I know when they where bought.
I love it. I can just fill my sink up with really hot water and throw two zip bags into the water and 5 minutes later they are defrosted and ready to be cooked! Super easy and much better!
You go girl! I love you! I wish I could do this!
ReplyDeleteSingle servings are the way to go!
ReplyDeleteI love being organized like that! We have a deep freezer in our garage and I do the same thing with our food. Usually on Sunday I'll get meat out for the rest of the week and put it in the fridge to defrost. Another thing that's really helped me is making a list of what I have in the freezer and how much so I know when I'm running low.
ReplyDeleteGood job, though!!
These are good ideas! And that picture of you is so cute!
